He is a social activist working among the poor and downtrodden in the district of Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. He carries out active and energetic propagation of the principles, especially of tolerance and harmony among the people living in our country. On the basis of his activities and performance over a sufficiently long period of time, he is conferred with the “Communal Harmony Award“ for the year 2012.

Mr. Chandrasekar, is serving the society by working for community development and amity in the societyin Madurai and Dindugul District is conferred with “Communal Harmony Award“ for the year 2012.He is a dedicated entrepreneur giving employment to hundreds of people. His dedication to the causes of the downtrodden and under previleged in the society and his selfless service to the Dalits made him to be a selfless devoted personality in the society.

A.V. Nagarajan, was the president of the Village Panchayat, Varanavasi, in the Walajabad block of Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu. Nagarajan got the approval of the Gram Sabha for the resolution banning “Smoking and the use of tobacco-based products in public places”. The fireless effort of Nagarajan made Varanavasi the first Village Panchayat in the State of Tamil Nadu to have successfully implementing the Tobacco Control Act with the support of Village people. He works for the downtrodden and depressed classes of the Society. In appreciation of his exemplary services to the society Mother Teresa Charitable Trust conferred him with the “Communal Harmony Award” for the year 2012.

An Industrialist and an active member of the Lions Club of Kanyakumari District, he takes active interest in the Civic, Social and moral welfare of the community. He strives hard to unite the people in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding. In appreciation for his commitment towards the society he was felicitated with the “Best Humanitarian Award“ for the year 2012.
